These attorneys counsel private and public clients on the intricacies of the Sunshine Law, Public Records Law, agency contracting, employment issues and also assist clients in preparing bids, requests for proposals, bid protests. The members of the Governmental Relations, Lobbying & Administrative Law Practice Group regularly appear and represent client projects and interests before municipal, county, special district and state governmental officials and entities. In addition to providing counsel to clients, attorneys in this Practice Group actively participate in lobbying for clients, and contribute their expertise to governmental rulemaking, legislative drafting and updates, government contracts, political, election and campaign law. The attorneys in this Practice Group have represented Fortune 500 companies in connection with their franchises and business in Palm Beach County and its municipalities. The Group also interacts with the Commercial Litigation and Real Estate, Land Use and Zoning Groups in the handling of administrative appeals.

This Practice Group provides specialized counsel in the area of health care law, including
licensing and regulatory issues, peer review, staffing and provider issues as well as patient issues and the formation of ancillary managed care organizations such as third-party administrators. As counsel to public, private and provider organizations, these attorneys regularly advise clients on home health regulations, fraud and abuse, anti-kickback, Stark II, patient brokering issues and other health care-related aspects of state and federal law. The Group practice includes assisting clients in the sale of acute care hospitals, the acquisition of nursing home and administrative sites, the launch of ambulatory surgical facilities and the sale and purchase of individual physician practices and physician group practices. Attorneys in this Practice Group serve as general counsel to the Palm Beach County Health Care District, an independent special taxing district designed to regulate the provision of trauma services and to ensure delivery of comprehensive health care services to the residents of Palm Beach County.
